This policy explains what The Shift collects when you visit this site or apply to join The Shift. It covers why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
What you send in the application: your name and email, the company, role and links you give, and your answers. With it, the page you sent it from and how you reached the site, such as the referring page and campaign tags. We also get technical data like your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, through analytics and error reports.
How we use it
We use it to read and answer your application and to prepare the introductions you agree to. We also use it to tell you about events, keep the site working and see which pages and campaigns bring people here.
Who handles it for us
leadpending.com receives applications and sends our replies. Google Analytics counts visits. Sentry records errors so we can fix them. RSVPs happen on Luma, under Luma’s own privacy policy. An introduction shares only what you agreed to share, and only with someone who also said yes. We do not sell personal data, and we never sell or share the guest list.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its cookies to count visits. While you browse, your browser keeps a note of the pages you have seen in session storage. That lets an application say how you found us, and closing the tab clears it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, export it or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you these rights too.
